I try, I really do to keep this site up to date but it seems to be beyond my abilities. Thus, I am soliciting help from a Hoppy friend in Florida. 2013 Festival

Invitations are out to stars for the 2013 Hopalong Cassidy Festival. Rreturning is a favorite of Hoppy fans – Roberta Shore from the Virginian. An invitation has also been issued to another Virginian star – Don Quine. Accepting our invitation is DARBY HINTON from Daniel Boone. Returning to emcee stars panels and share information about her western relatives is Julie Ream.

We are awaiting confirmation of 2 other guests.

The 2013 festival is a 100 birthday celebration for Grace Bradley Boyd.

Reservations for Friday and Saturday dinners will be accepted after April 1.

Summer is nearly over and I’m still trying to process all the requests for information concerning the 2011 show and next year’s event. The Committee has evaluated the past year and made tentative plans for our 22nd year. The Friday night dinner and program will include a train ride through the rolling hills of southern Guernsey County. Our request for guests have gone out but no one has been confirmed. In related news, the 10th Street Antique Mall owned by Howard and Martha Cherry was sold the first week in June and has been closed. The new owner opened for one day last week (August 6 ) and plans to continue regular hours very soon. The Museum will remain at the same location.
Thanks for all your support of the Cherry’s. Howard remains in a nursing home in the Cambridge area. Enjoy the summer. Laura
