We had alot of fun with Johnny Crawford being our MC and one of the judges for this Contest.  He did a great job interviewing the Look-a-Likes and had them take a stroll while he sang a tune that matched their character.  Thanks to all who participated!

Beckey Burgoyne author, and first time guest to our Hoppy Festival.  Beckey published and authored “Perfectly Amanda, Gunsmokes Miss Kitty  To Dodge and Beyond”.  Julie Ream has also contributed to this book as she wrote the Introduction.  After all Julie grew up on the set as her Uncle Glenn Strange was Sam the bartendor at the Long Branch Saloon owned by Character, Miss Kitty Russell (Amanda Blake) love interest of Marshall Matt Dillon!!  Whats ironic is as I am writing this I have “Gunsmoke” on watching it.  Thanks to Julie, is how we heard of Beckey and invited her to attend Hoppy Festival.  Due to her teaching schedule she could only be there on Saturday.  I have a copy of the book and am throughly enjoying it.  If you are interested in getting a copy you can contact Linda Radke at Five Star Publications at 480-940-8182 or e-mail Linda@FiveStarPublications.com.

Jeff is also a fan of Dan’s and is getting a signed autograph from his Grizzly Adam’s days.  Dan tells me he’s trying to get another Grizzly Adam’s film made.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

These table center pieces were designed and done by Mary Ann Kunig.  Thank-you for all your hard work Mary Ann!!  I have done events like this before and people just don’t realize the time it takes to design, make and decorate for these type of events.  Mary Ann didn’t only do the centerpieces but did the decorations in the whole dining room.
